I did not know Blake, but I know he was a member on Facebook on different pages. I thought I would share here, I know several facebook pages had people share pictures of there thunderbirds to show there respects for Blake. I am not sure if he was a member on here or not.

Sad indeed. Yello Belly isn't the best place to race in the world. Even being there to spectate requires safety equipment, at minimum a gun. From what I understand Blakes car was a serious piece of equipment but lacking the proper safety.

I just saw that Hot Rod posted about this on Facebook. A terrible tragedy, but also an eye opener about safety cages and other equipment. They had a pic of his T-Bird post-crash, and that car is f**ked up.
