But why?? Vista is so full of holes its a joke.

Better make sure your antivirus is up to date.

I ran a pre-release of Vista a few months ago.  The good features didn't outweigh the fact that it was such a resource hog, though.  Athlon64 3000+ with 2G of RAM and it would barely load, then ran sluggish as hell.

its done and its running extremely fast on my pentium 4 and 1 gig of ram. no problems so far :D  I'm having fun with this

Try getting on an unsecure network.  It won't let you.  I'm putting XP on my next computer.

My neighbor said that Vista flagged an office07 install that could have been questionable.... but works perfect on xp...So it looks like Vista doesn't know how to mind its own business when it comes to software you install.

I say after Vista service pak 2 I'll get it.. lol

im happy with it so far. it runs great on the machine i have. i did have an issue with one program not working with vista. it was my realflight G2 RC flight simulator. im a little bumbed but it gives me an excuse to upgrade to a newer or better sim.
