My car is heating up in Atlanta traffic. Built motor with turbo still running stock radiator with Black Magic 12" electric fan.
I need to upgrade obviously.
At first I was thinking bigger is better with radiator but recently I've heard that the 3 and 4 row radiators put more pressure on the water pumps. So should I stick with a 2 row aluminum radiator and upgrade the fan to a dual that covers the entire radiator? car runs on the open road at 193 and climbs to 204-205 before light turns green then drops back down. Climbing hills it also climbs up in temp quickly.
I currently run an aftermarket external transmission cooler with fan as well. As you can see in the pictures there's a lot going on at the front of the car, intercooler, MSD box, external transmission cooler in front of intercooler and of course the body kit.
Suggestions on fans, radiators? Kind of being over whelmed by the selection of parts available at Summit racing. Currently plan to swap out thermostat for a 160 this weekend.
Please spare me the jokes cause I know they are coming about how dirty the engine bay is >> (Eric@CoolCats) LOL Car has been through a lot these past 10 years and is finally being made show ready again. Paint and body work comes right after I get this heating issue resolved.
Warch my car live at prodyno.net. Got the bigger pump on it and should now do over 500rwhp i hope. With only 29lbs of fuel pressure i did 400rwhp and 457tq last time... Car is sitting on the dyno now

Ok i have chunks broken off and missing on one of my cylinder heads.... so that engine is done for... I was hoping that i just blew a intake gasket...no luck on that...
So... this means new motor time again... I was told about a mexican marine block that is a 347 with much thicker walled. Going to use forged pistons and the right stuff this time around...Oh yeah still gonna use the turbo...

Bad luck follows my car guys.... Just finished putting new tires on the car was driving home. Got on the gas hard to see how the new tires would hold up and the motor didnt.... Lots of smoke, coolant in the oil, coolant coming out from under valve cover gasket on drivers side in the back, white foamy oil/coolant along firewall center of car. Would that be intake gasket or head gasket if its kicking it out there? Or cracked aluminum head.... I hope i just had some bolts come loose and blown the gaskets since ive been having issues with the bolts coming loose. I was able to get out of traffic when the temp hit 225 and shut it down.... uggh..
Hey guys, looking to find out what color the fuel level sending unit wire is as it comes up into rear of car. I beleive its yellow with white stripe behind the dash where it connects to gauge but im not sure if its the same at the trunk access hole.
Also does anyone know what the ohms should be on that unit? Empty/Full. Im having problems getting my Dakota Digital fuel level gauge to work and i need to make sure its wired correctly and its not a problem with the sending unit first.
I quit playing Star Wars Galaxies about a year ago after playing it since launch. Now i await with preorder in hand for the launch of this new MMO. Anyone else waiting for it as well?
Any one else excited about being able to put antique plates on their cars? Here in Virginia we have to wait for 25 years before we can get them. 2012 marks the year i can get the black and white tags for my car. I plan to be at DMV on the Jan 2nd to pick mine up. How does eveyone feel about our cars reaching these milestones?
For me i think its great when people ask me what my car is and are amazed at how old it is. The design and style of these cars has really held up over the years. Most people i run into think my car isnt half as old as it truely is.
Took these pictures several months ago while the install was being done. Need to take finished pictures. Been having too much fun driving it to remember to stop and take a picture.
Anyone with a after market turbo having problems keeping header and turbo bolts from backing out? Ive been losing bolts right and left. Any tips or secrets? Im getting tired of replacing copper gaskets...
