Body/Appearance/Interior / My TC's bandaid
when i painted my car 8 years ago i saw a crack in the body work.. well i ignored it and over the years rust has formed underneath.
i used bandaids as a joke to show it was hurt.
well today i went a step further :hick:

I had issues years ago with the 1035 felpro. i popped 3 in one year. i now run the 8993 and no issues since. from what i understand the 8993 is more forgiving with mating surface. but im not sure. have you tried using a 8993? it has worked for me for daily driving and occassional track use running 19-20psi

How is going this year?
i know u will see a few of the usual's. i see the cars, but not usually the owners!

we are heading up friday evening and docking at the days inn with the NATO crew. my car is looking worse every year but i continue to take it!.

User Rides / Saved a Turbocoupe
After reading this post and seeing it was done at a vo-tech local to the owner i had an idea.
i went to school for collison repair and we repainted my blue 88 TC.
well i have my 87 TC thats a lil rough. i contacted my Body Shop teacher, drove the car up to him wednesday and its will be in the classroom in the fall for a mini exterior restoration!
cant wait to have another one of my cars in that classroom 12 years after the last!

Sad thing to all of this. He has bought so many parts from me with out an issue. the 83 front clip on his TC, a ihi, hood, and misc years ago. i have gone to his house and helped him, multiple times.
if i would see him outside wirking on his car i rev my engine and see him turn so fast, lol. then i recieve a text... usually us joking about a cessna plane rolling down the street ( my tc).
he knows his stuff, just i dunno why this is happening. i stayed out of this becuase it didnt regard me at all. but it sadens me that this is opposite of what i had seen first hand.
even tho way back when in the past he was kicked off a local forum i was part of for a parts transaction going wrong. i simply thought it was a misunderstanding and was resolved.but that was 7 years ago.
 i hope this does.
 i am sorry vinnie this is happening to you. you are a very valuable contributor to our forums. i love the pictures of the wagon that were posted on FB.

Electrical Tech / What is this?
it is a resistor for the cluster illumination.
it allows you to dim the light down low.
i took mine out when i put in LED's.
if you keep your cluster fully light with out dimming you dont need it. but if you turn it down it helps making them dim.
thats the reason it got hot.

Suspension/Steering / running 99+ stang twin pistons calipers on 95 spindles
ok sweet..
i grabbed them out of the junkyard a few months back but been hesitant on mounting them, since is salt season the car is sitting.
maybe ill attempt the vacuum booster swap too!

another note.
would installing 99 up spindles be better?
the car is lowered an inch and i notice the tie rods are angled up a bit when on the ground.... but no bump steer

i love the red car they guy forgot to latch closed!
we have a customer with a vette that left his door ajar by accident and backed into his garage with it open... my god the damage was brutal.
i loved seeing the before and after. we arnt a body shop but we service it and he had the pictures on his phone. i was surprised he admited to doing soemthing. i told him i did the smae thing with my tbird backing up my driveway.. lucky for my my dad parts car was the same color as mine so i just swapped doors.

i see this thread got out of hand.  but, i still wanna see more work you guys do. i wish i could paint cars good. i did mine 7 years ago and the prep wasnt as good as it should and it showing.

Carlisle is amazing been going since i was like 7 with my dad and his Falcons. now we all go up. my TC with NATO and my dad with his finally finished 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint with a 351c.. yes "c" :)  bone stock and wont go faster then a 14.04... he was trying for 13s in 1/4 mile on 13in tires lol.
