Body/Appearance/Interior / My TC's bandaid
when i painted my car 8 years ago i saw a crack in the body work.. well i ignored it and over the years rust has formed underneath.
i used bandaids as a joke to show it was hurt.
well today i went a step further :hick:

Events & Shows / Carlisle 2012
How is going this year?
i know u will see a few of the usual's. i see the cars, but not usually the owners!

we are heading up friday evening and docking at the days inn with the NATO crew. my car is looking worse every year but i continue to take it!.
4
User Rides / some new shots of my 88 TC with my SLR
using my canon t3 took some shots on a day i had off.

got my fish eye lens today ill play with that more on saturday and gets some nice shots in hopefully.

Suspension/Steering / teves to vacuum assist, a few questions.
so this is what i have
88 TC
recent sn95 5 lug conversion

i been having issues with the pump and tired of it. i lost abs when i swapped to 5 lug so the teves electro boost isnt needed anymore.

i going to convert to vacuum assist.

the more i read the more confused i get.
i concerned about front/rear bias.
i want a good pedal feel too.

so what i got was 99-04 master cylinder and proportioning valve. plus the lines between the two and some after the valve
also grabbed the twin piston calipers.
i have 94-98 mustang rear calipers and 96 mustang front calipers.
will this combo work with out issues?

i have a 88 sport vacuum booster i can use, but was going to try and get the booster out of the car i got the master and proportioning valve from. its gonna be a lil bit of work since the strut tower is int he way (front end hit 99 mustang in the u-pull-it yard) which is better the 99 stang booster or 88 sport?

anything else i should be aware of?

thanks!

Events & Shows / Private Track rental Cecil Nov 12, 2011, 10th annual Andrew Bauer Memorial Nats
there will be a private track rental at Cecil county dragway on Nov 12, 2011.

i was invited through MAMN12 and asked Bill about inviting more from foxtbirdcougar. this was his response!

Yes at this time I am open to inviting pretty much anyone as long as the are respectful racers. Cecil charges $10 per spectator for any rental or normal test and tune. If they are interested let them know there will most likely be a cut off around 150 cars. We are only at 50 now but I am expecting quite a few payments over the next couple weeks from other groups.

Thanks
Bill

Lets keep a list of those paying and planning to attend.

Now accepting payments for the 10th Annual Andrew Bauer Memorial Nats at Cecil County Dragway on November 12th 2011!! I know a lot of you have attended the SSOTN Racing events at Cecil Country in the past, unfortunately SSOTN has cancelled these events for 2011 due to lack of racer interest.

In case you do not know me I originated the Nats events and ran the event from the beginning for the first 5 years when I was a staff member of SSOTN. The fall event has been known as The Andrew Bauer Memorial Nats since 2002 when Andrew (known as Krimpet) was killed in his 96 Mystic Cobra. This will be the 10th ABM Nats so I rented the track myself to run the event on November 12th, 2011. It will be run just like always with a few changes but nothing major. Track opens at 8am and we have the track until 4pm. There are several local hotels within minutes of the track for post Nats activities. This is not an organized race, just a fun day at the track to end the racing season.

Body Repair/Metal Work/Painting / Frame specs. car-o-liner or other frame aligners
a friend of mine is going to be straightening out my passenger frame rail from an accident i was in 2004. im in the process of rebuilding the front and rear suspension and upgrading to sn95 parts.
but he asked if i could locate the specs for his car-o-liner machine. i had them years ago when i worked with him.. but 10 years ive lost it.
so im looking for help.
it doesn't have to be car-o-liner, just as long as we have good measurements. last resort we will use my 87 as reference. thanks for your help.

Engine Tech / new engien install photos and video
after about 2.5 years of saving and collecting parts i finally tool the time to remove my old engine that i bought for 100 bucks in January 2002 that was sitting on John marshals's garage floor for two years, and been in two different cars of mine that has been knocking horribly for the past two years AND install my fully rebuild engine
new parts were chuck w mounts, speed pro pistons .030 over, new aux bearsing, reman crankshaft kit, ranger roller cam, full motorcraft tune-up, complete stainless coolant lines form forced 4, NOS clutch and pressure plate, new throw out and input shaft bearings, mildly clean intake ports on head, new timing belt and other odds and end the past two weeks, it was strted at 6:30 on Thursday night.
i have put about 250 miles since Friday morning  and never driving a TC with such a strong RPM torque, im so happy the way it turns out, here are some pictures and the initial start of the engien with no accessories and me guessing on ignition timing, and it starts right up (i primed the engien before it started). this was my first full engien rebuild, i did bearing changes and such before, but never new pistons and rings, all done by me, with assistance form a few friends and my family

Bare bay

Mild porting

Quick spray job on the brackets(and half of the garage)

including the car

woo pretty!

almost ready!

Goin in!

Like a glove

wooo...just need accessories and intake back on

Success!

User Rides / Pictures of my TC (warning lots of pictures)
havnt been on the site in a few weeks and saw that a lot of you wanted mroe pictures of the car.
car is a current work in prgress.

i bought this car as a dead bird, barly ran and was NON TURBO 2.3l
automatic car with every option minus leather and sunroof, o and with 223,5?? miles

so here we go first day i had her. 400 bucks wasnt a bad deal, wel it need an alternator, foudn out the guy tried "adapting" a 87 TC alternator on a 88, dont work, plugs are difernt so the guy "wrapped" the standard two putput wires around the single ring termal end of the harness, likily this being my 4th TC i had an extra 88 alt laying around.
i invets soem new brakes all around, inlcuding all 4 calipers brake cables, and countles sother items, i smear it was aorunf 1500 in part (at cost)

after a weeks weeks i let eh paint go, then i started hard cores compundign and polishign the worn out paint, it came up nice really nice, but well as murphys law set in i was in an accident, damage to passnager door and fender. i was tkaing a night body shop class and started the work.

i continued on to painting the entire car myelf, i als paint my "second TC" my slef also

finished porduct

o yea my blue TC my "second TC"

reason im not driving her now

so after some minor body tweaking thsi is where the car is now
