87 Cougar LS

My car started off life with one of those ugly fake convertible tops :yuck: . I didn't take any pics of it when I first got it because I didn't want to remember my Cougar with something as dumb as that. First thing I did was to get the cloth top off, after that it was much easier on the eyes. I did all the various bodywork that it needed, put on a TC hood I found in the junkyard for $40  and lowered it with Ford Racing springs from summit part number FMS-M5300C. It had a real bad exhaust leak where the y-pipe connects to the manifold, so I put on a new y-pipe with only one cat and did dual exhaust with Dynomax Ultra-Flo lers. I did the taillight mod and got a set of sequencial lights :D (very cool) from Thunder Chicken. I ordered a set of pony rims and will post pics when I get them mounted and balanced.

New pics. Just got my pony rims on. Tires are Yokohama 225/50 R 16. I refinished the rims before the tires were mounted and I think they came out pretty good. :headbang:

And here is the super powerful 3.8  :bs: with refinished air cleaner cover, new alternator, and fan clutch. It sounded like it was going to blow up when the old fan clutch seized. :rollin:

Not too often. Only if I back out of a very steep driveway or something like that. But the front is a completely different story. The chin spoiler hits almost everything and I can't make it over very many speed bumps without the k-member dragging.
