Interesting. All I need is a tube...maybe I should hit up the farm supply store tomorrow and get an inner tube for a front tractor tire...hmmm. LOL

I'm too fat for that. The 3rd picture would be a popped tube, and the 4th picture would be an ambulance...

My God you got no gloves on

The 'third picture' is me floating on the water.  The gloves got wet on the first run so they got removed.

Great use of ramps in the winter! I'm guessing the tube lessens the impact harshness vs. a sled?

Yes, most definitely.  The first time I tried it, I did use plastic saucers and it was ok, I just didn't go as fast and high and with less height and speed, it was ok.  But the tubes are far superior for jumping.  It is much less of an impact and they get some speed.

I usually landed just in front of where the slope levels out but the speed coupled with the slickness of the surfaces were too much for dragging my feet and hands to overcome before launching out into the water.  Not only was the height achieved pretty good, the distance covered from the ramps to the LZ in the air was pretty crazy.

I wonder if more air (ie almost overfull) in the tube would make it fly further? With all the snow sitting around you might as well experiment and see what gets you the most air :). The snow has to be good for something.
