Back in the early days, I remember weasel and his ed black Cougar...he'd done so much work to that thing...

And another really cool Tbird...can't remember the name, but he had some custom wheels for it, and it was a supercharged, blue Bird...

There was a video he'd posted....accelerating down an on ramp...car was stupid fast...
Think his s/n was Thunderhawk???

I think you’re referring to Glenn Hawkins (The Hawk)

Well , we are way older than then. I learnt how to fix my ever-breaking cougar every weekend. I still have it, but i has not run since 2005. City Hall towed from the front of parents house, got them back and parked at the driveaway from dad´s apartment...i simply cant get rid of it, these cars are unforgettable.

So, to speak something, i remember some troublesome guys...

I havent been here when the TomRenzomania was here, but i saw it was pretty controversial...

I remember when Ben (Bird351) was here...he had no problems whatsoever voicing his opinion very loudly...but i liked the guy....

Another kid like me was 84Fila...some troubles he had here with Eric...last time i heard from him he was deployed to the army or So...

But not all were bad guys, i remember too , Eric sent me a copy of a Tiger OSX DVD from Ohio like 14 years ago...it was virtually impossible to get even a pirated copy here at that time..i still owe him the postage stamps...

Mr Burrows (Thunderchicken) helped me to track some problems with my car audio devices which were blowing every now and then...i remember him to want a turbo 5 cilinder volvo some years ago, and that did not go well..

Tom and Scott (Turbocoupe50 and jcassity) helped me to learn about carburetors A LOT and that served me until this day...even that guy named Claude (CougarSE) which did a T5 swap in a 3.8

Thats some to say a few, i remember more members but few names...i m just getting old...

 Heck, i learned english here...

He ended up losing his mind. Got into making spiritual candles and other unusual stuff for a man of his intelligence level

He tried to scam me for a convertible top motor. Baxo told him to get me a tracking number for the motor or he will be banned. Once I received the motor, Baxo banned him anyways. He wasn't a bad kid, just very misguided.

All of these old guys are still around. I think Claude bought a farm and still has his Cougar with the T5 swap. He and I spent hours researching part numbers and diagrams figuring out the T5 swap. That was a good time

It's funny you mention this, CougarCragar used to spend hours correcting my spelling and grammar that I eventually learned how to write very well. So I practically learned English here too.

Were you around for when they were doing some blasting in his area, and showered his car with little rocks and he had to get it repainted?

I remember something about a repaint but the why of it eludes me. Is he still around, anyone in contact?

There was another feller, down in south Missouri IIRC, had an '87-8 Cougar that he'd done a DIY TT setup on the 5.0, seems like his name was David. He was more active on the MN12 forum I believe, or maybe it was TCCOA. I was a meber at both way way way back when. Haven't been to either in probably 10 years now.

Amazing, what the mind can recall in the small hours.

Oh, we're expecting baby #4 sometime around mid-late November.

Go me. Or something.

Guess I need a new hobby. Maybe I'll take up knife sharpening and...perhaps some DIY vasectomy classes. LOL.

Well to everyone that still appreciates us, from all the admins, we thank you for hanging around here. And we also appreciate that most everyone is behaving well these days. ;)

Tom started off seeming to want to help people. But he did like to go off on his soapbox quite a bit. And Heaven forbid your opinion contradicted his. Problem was, he sometimes had good technical info, plus his long disappearances contributed to his longevity here. It's been peaceful without him, that's for sure.

Well that would make one person that liked him. Ben played the 'poor me' card way too many times and always used that to his advantage. Then, like a Venus flytrap, he'd spring his derision at will. He was a true troll. Believe me when I say that there were many, many messages exchanged between the admins about him. I wanted him gone long before he was excised like the parasite that he was. Maybe by now he's dealt with his demons.

My biggest issue with him was that he was local to me. I tried to take that kid under my wing and guide him, and he would just turn around and screw people over and make me look bad in the process. He was great at apologies but not at following through with promises, and quite a few people got burned. He did join the military but I never heard from him again. And for the record, he tried very hard to make a mountain out of a molehill with his Fila model. Granted, it's quite rare to find a decent one now, but his wasn't even decent back then.

LOL Yeah...Will isn't really active with the car in the last 5+ years. He got married a few years ago. He got back into running, like cross country-style. The car was supposed to get a twin turbo setup that was previously on a Mustang, but of course Will got screwed over on that deal. He's had a lot of bad luck, with both the car and life in general. But he takes it all in stride. That reminds me, I should call him soon. Need to invite him back to the board here.

I went back a read a few of my old posts with baxo in them. Man I was always kinda a @$$hole back then. Even though he was always super supportive of my car puter ideas, I always took it as him taking a shot at me.

Eric if you read this, tell him I'd like to apologize to him one day. I was full of "piss and vinegar" as my dad would call it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Trust me, his demons got worse. I talked to him quite a bit even after he was banned. We eventually stopped talking, for no particular reason, but we were still friends on Facebook. He ended up dabbling in some weird , and then going on soap box rants where he tried to be vague, but everyone knew exactly who and what he was talking about. I ended up clicking "Unfriend".

The times he showed up to CatJam, I don't think he even brought his car.

He used to be the one who ran CougarNuts. I can't remember his last name to save my life. Once CougarNuts died off, he slowly vanished into the darkness.
