I just installed one in my '88 Bird.  Was easy.  But I guess that would also depend on your Mechanical skills too.  If you are just getting into working on your car, on a scale of 1-10, I would give it about a 7 for difficulty for a newbie.  If you have been doing your own work for awhile and are confident with your skills, I would say it is about a 2 then.  The worst part is getting the pedals in.  Takes forever to get that one  nut tightened!

Good.  Then it should be a walk it the park.:)  Think of it as doing a clutch job on a '87-'93 Mustang.

depends on you and where your getting your stuff vs what you actually get. my donor was a 89ish mustang. i got the whole car for 100bucksas a trade at my uncles dealership. all i bought new was a frpp clutch cable and quadrant, frpp king cobra clutch and pp, and a rear main seal. pretty much the rest came out of the stang. i forget what i paid for the new parts but less than 250-300.
