Wheels are a personal touch......
There are just too many cars in my area with Cobra R wheels.  Meanwhile people in certain areas hardly ever see them....
Weird.....

I think those Cragars would look magnificent on a fox car with a satin or painted aluminum color finish as opposed to chrome.

I am a firm believer that wheels make the car. Just look at how much better a Fox Birdcat looks with even stock 10-holes over the 14" hubcaps or poly cast wheels. That being said, I'm no fan of modern wheels on old cars, especially in huge rim sizes with no sidewall. I think the Cragars would have looked good (and period correct) on a four-eye. 87-88, not so much. The four-eyes have more of a classic car look to them, which would work with the Cragars (and, call me crazy, the classic SS wheels too, so long as a 5-lug conversion was done and they were no larger than 15", with lots of sidewall and preferably with some white letter BFG radial T/A's). On an 87-88 T-Bird, something more modern, and by "more modern" I mean "late 80's to late 90's" style, like a black faced, 5-spoke, polished lip, deep dish 16 or 17" (like you see on some hot-rodded old Volvo 2-series cars). On an 87-88 Cougar, a set of the 16" mesh wheels from a late Mark VII LSC or mid 90's Panther. Even better, those mesh wheels with the  faces painted black and the lips polished aluminum, with chrome lug nuts and factory Mercury centres (since cat heads were never offered with those wheels).
