This sucks...

I went to the track one last time before they closed and I'm still running slower than I used to. I'm running mid-11s (1/8th) instead of 10.4's like I was before the tranny went out. After I got the new tranny in I went and ran 11's so I didn't go for a while. This time around I had removed the sound deadener, removed my hood and passenger seat and I had an inch shorter tire (though wider). I can bark my tires on the 1-2 shift so I know I have the power to run my old times. I believe its the tv valve thats causing me all my trouble but its gummed up and wont budge.
Also another thing is my motor kind of bogs when I get to around 1/4 throttle. I have no clue why. The car accelerates faster when I'm barely on it than when I'm at mid-peddle. WOT works fine though. When you get to that certain point you can hear it bog but when your barely on it sounds like its running real well.  :dunno:

I'd also say TPS...
If its always bugging at same position, Maybe you have a bad spot inside your TPS...

valve sticking

Thanks for the replies. I changed the tps and set it to .97, didn't help at all. Gonna change the fuel filter tomorrow and check my plugs. Also another thing I failed to mention, when I stomp it at rest you can hear my cai suck in the air and then my motor catches up. So, it may be fuel related. I told my freind about it and he's offered to help me fix the problem. He has the tools and garage to do it with. He wants to try a compression test. And how can you tell if a valve is sticking?

Did a compression test today, got 150-170 across the board. One thing I did notice was my Blaster coil was sparking like mad. I didn't think it would go in a year but I was wrong. Going to replace it tomorrow and see what happens.
