88 cougar parts transfered to 86 cougar

Well as yall know i have an 88 parts car and i am wondering how hard it is to use the 88 hinges on the 86 cougar... the difference is that the 88 holds itself up and the 86 has a support rod.

Also i am snagging the electronic gas door release and trunk release.  is the trunk release in itself specific being an electric one... or can i use the solinoid and such on a manual key operated trunk latch?

 I think that covers most of the questions for now... everything else should be self explainitory when i pull it.
