Lounge / Just got back from the race track!
For some reason they don't use "DNF" though? The Coronet wagon got thrown out for leaving 2-3 quarts of ATF all over the track. He did some donuts out in the paddock on his way out and the officials were screaming for him stop. Rumor is he earned a lifetime ban...
I forgot to add my cones! You get a 2 second penalty for every cone hit that actually falls over or moves out of the "box". On raw time I'd be up ONE place, darn! I had guesstimated my mid-pack seeing others times on the scoreboard at the event. If you look through this results page: http://www.oregonpca.org/events/autocross/ax-results/2008-ax3/ax3-final-results-with-cones/
You'll see that a LOT of people had one "perfect" run with a whole load of slower runs. Guess you only need the one though right?
For example:
1T I1 152 Richard Averitt 1971 Porsche 914 50.994 47.232 46.757 46.796+1 47.339 46.314 46.028 44.266 44.512+1
It's really hard and hectic to know what's going on during the event. I didn't even see the results page was up.
I had registered with the RX-7 (which they have wrong anyways, it's supposed to be an 83 not an 84) and changed cars at the last second. They kind of "stop bothering" with the Non-Porsche guys after 15 places. :(
My best raw time was a 44.830 (+1 cone). 5 runs in the low 45's (all with that same cone) and then worse ones with more cones (in the wet). :hick:
Still tons of fun :D Trying again Saturday!

The course was really tight! The opening gate was a 90* Chicago style turn and the outlet was so narrow that it just wouldn't fit. I hit the last cone in the box with the tail of the back bumper on nearly every single run. :hick:
I did manage a 44.830 (FTD was a 36.3 ish? in a Carerra 2.7 RS and most of the Boxter's/Caymen's were in the 46's so I was mid-pack. Slow man out was a 47.9 in a 914).
I got 10 runs which was awesome. I'm beat! When are any of you going to try it?
I also ran the brackets Saturday night.
ANOTHER WIN!!!

Here's what I'm selling off:
83-86 Thunderbird:
(1) "Pro Stock" kit, White body, some red parts, clear windows, based on the Bob Glidden Chief Auto Parts kit. It's a 99.9% complete kit that I put together from 3 incomplete ones. The only part missing is the base for the 80's "droop" hoodscoop. Hood has a hole in it so you can run a blower or a more modern scoop. $15
87-88 Thunderbird:
(1) Bob Glidden Motorcraft Thunderbird Turbo Coupe Pro Stock, in the correct box. Molded in White. 100% correct and complete with good decals. $30
(1) Bob Glidden Motorcraft Thunderbird Turbo Coupe Pro Stock, in the correct box. Molded in White. Complete less rear tires with NO decals. $15
(1) Matt & Debbie Hay "Pro Street" Thunderbird Turbo Coupe (the pink one with the twin-blown 351). Complete in original box with good decals. $25
(5) Monogram stock Turbo Coupe models, molded in red. Choose from sealed in factory plastic wrap or opened but guaranteed complete. $10 each
(2) Revell Motorworks Turbo Coupe. Same as the above kit but molded in silver with softer plastic. Nicer decals. Comes with paint and glue. $10 each
Fox-body Mustang/SVO:
(1) "Mustang Street Machine" (It's a McLaren Mustang with Capri fenders, no wing, 79-86 side slats/windows, and supposed to come with a 2.3 N/A). No engine but it has a complete chassis, interior, wheels/tires (turbines) and suspension from the much nicer and newer 88 Mustang GT kit. Add whatever motor you want and have a cool unique project. $10
(1) 1988 Mustang GT kit, new in box $10
(1) Revell Motorworks "Mustang Turbo Cobra" (79 Mustang Turbo Cobra with Capri fenders, cowl hood, and GT front valance). Complete less engine, BUT it comes with a complete chassis, interior, suspension, wheels/tires (turbines), AND 5.0 HO/T5 from the 88 Mustang GT kit. Everything you need to build a really nice 79 Mustang into a modern EFI 5.0 one. $20
(1) Miller Mustang IMSA Racer (the one with the Zakspeed Turbo-4 and massive widebody/wing). Just the shell, wheels/tires, and decals. Missing the hood but otherwise everything is there to make a display model (no engine/interior). Suspension is complete. Painted but not decaled. Or combine with one of the above kits? $5

User Rides / The new DD: 2001 Police Interceptor, new PICS on Page 11!
The tips are 2.5" like the pipes. I'm torn on leaving them, putting some better ones on, or going to hidden turn downs. I'll wait until these cheapies rust out I guess.
No strobes...yet

It's a little pricier though because the 83-86's are TOUGH to find. In fact, I only have ONE I can do this too.
PM on it's way.
