Stock 9 blade fan Reply #6 – February 07, 2014, 11:21:08 AM They most likely had some type of contract with Ford a few years ago. It's not uncommon. Probably could not come to terms on a renewal for whatever reason. At that price I don't see Ford selling too many other than to guys who want period correct or are dead set on factory hardware. I can actually be this way with certain components, but this aint one of them. Good quality at a fair price, thank you. Quote Selected
Stock 9 blade fan Reply #7 – February 09, 2014, 10:51:18 PM Hmm perhaps they did have a contract at one point with Ford. I try to buy Motorcraft/Ford parts whenever possible. However the aftermarket fan should probably be the same quality. It's also possible that the same company who makes the fans now makes them for Ford as well. Quote Selected
