XM radio

XM radio

I am interested in getting XM radio for may car, I was wondering what I would need to complete the installation.

I would like to get a new headunit, I like the Pioneer one I saw that was XM ready. Fromw what I have gathered from the XM website I would also need a tuner and antenna. Is that correct?

Also, who has XM and what products do you reccomend?

That is correct. You would need a universal xm adapter(comes with antenna) and a module for your brand of head unit. Both are around $50 each and can be bought at major electronics retail store like Best Buy or Circuit City.

I think that XM is . It's just radio without ads. Have you ever messed around with display models in stores? At one time I actually considered it, but decided it wasn't worth the money. There's over 100 channels but only 1 or 2 worth listening to at any given time. If I were you, I'd invest in a CD mp3 player and burn your own music that'll last you 10 hours per CD. Then you get commercial free music that you actually want to listen to. Just my :2c:

I agree. My freind had one in his car. Killed it because he didnt want to pay for it monthly and they didnt have much he wanted to listen too.
