Bad radio reception

I just installed a new pioneer cd player in my 88 tbird sport. Its the 3rd stereo i have put in the car. Now my reception is fine when i am at a standstill with the car running, but the stations fade in and out very often when the car is in motion, some days certain station, and other days other stations????? I dont hear any hiss or engine noise, just fadeing when the car is in motion.

Any suggestions??

I heard or a antenna amplifier, does this do anything??

Jeff

I thought Radio Slut used to carry stuff like that, but their site doesn't list any that I could find. This is the first success I got when searching for one on Google:

$12.49 plus shipping. If it worked well enough, I would even consider one. (all the good radio stations here are like 40+ miles away)

EDIT: Oh yeah.. which Pioneer CD player, if you don't mind me asking? I just put in a DEH-P3700MP.. the cheapest one I could find that allowed for MP3 CDs. ($148 or so, plus about $40-50 in adapter harnesses and mounting stuff) I'm usually pretty bargain-basp00get when it comes to car audio. As long as it drowns out engine and A/C noise and the occasional ricer fart-can, I'm happy. I'd be curious to know if ya got one of the more expensive ones and thought it was worth the extra money. What can I say? I guess I like stupidly second-guessing myself. :D
