1988 turbo coupe auto vs manual question

Does anyone know if there are any differences between  a 1988 thunderbird turbo coupe and a 5 speed car other than the tranny? I'm looking at a auto car, but I know they aren't rated for the same hp. Is the tranny the only difference?

No, the rear ends have different ratios as well.  If I remember correctly, the manual rear end has a 3.55, and the auto has a 3.73.  I can guarantee someone will correct that if I am wrong, as I dont have a mental rolodex full of  like that.

Main HP difference is due to less boost on the autos and single exhaust... Other than the rear gears already mentioned AFIK that's it...

The auto cars also had a different computer.
It's Gumby's fault.

True... But I've ran the 8UA in a 5 speed TC and 'cept for the codes it threw due to not finding the solenoids in the automatic, couldn't tell a difference... Made full boost in all gears just like the stick EEC...
