French Lick, IN carshow July 26, 2009, 04:46:05 PM Saturday my wife and some friends of ours went to French Lick, IN for the day (its about an hour from my town). If you have never heard of French Lick, it is known for two historic hotels, a casino, etc. There are natural sulfur springs there also. Back in the '20's and '30's normal folks, gangsters (scarface was known to visit), all sorts of famous folks, etc would travel there for gambling and before that it was a health resort of sorts (people thought the sulfur spring water had a healing quality.) Its a really neat place to visit.So we just walked around and enjoyed the day and then checked out the annual carshow they had going on. I was going to take my 'bird but the weather forcast didn't look promising so we left it home.Here are some pics: Quote Selected

Yeah but the whole point of going to French Lick is staying there;). Its not too expensive to stay in the French Lick hotel (W. Baden Springs is high), but I agree its not cheap either. But I think its worth it, especially on special occasions. We stayed for our anniversary last year. Quote Selected
