Electronic Distributor to MSD 6AL ignition box

Doing some shopping for a distributor and was checking these out for my 302 build. I notice this comes as a ready to run, drop in, but coil needs to be supplied. That's no problem since I will be using a MSD Blaster II, the problem I have is...does this distributor allow to have the bulky electronics box attached to it to be removed so I can wire in my MSD 6AL ignition box instead.

The prices are pretty decent for these distributors, I'm not sure yet if I would need to replace the gear on the distributor to a machined gear. Still the price is ok even if I had to purchase a bronze gear.

This listing is for a new "Ready to Run" electronic distributor. For 289 and '68-'01 302/5.0 Windsor Ford engines. Some of the features with this distributor are:
•Oversized steel shaft for high strength
•Top mounted sealed ball bearing
•Extra long sintered bushing guides the shaft at the base of the housing
•Magnetic pickup (never requires adjustment)
•Small base and cap for space savings
•Easy to adjust mechanical advance
•Vacuum advance for improved street fuel economy
•Precision machined reluctor
•Self contained high performance module

This is perfect for upgrading from outdated points style distributors, eliminating unreliable factory spark boxes, or when space requirements limit using the bulky HEI units. With this distributor all you need is an external coil, 12v power, and you're "ready to run". Nothing else required! (We recommend our E-Core coil for maximum performance).  You will do away with all the other pieces and tangle of wires in the normal Ford setup. Just hook it to your 12v power source, add a coil, and you are good to go. You will need plug wires that accept male terminals on the cap. An external coil with .5 - 1 Ohm is required for proper use.

A high performance module is contained on the distributor itself that produces increased performance, easily outperforming stock and many other aftermarket ignitions. The increased output of the internal ignition will smooth out the engines idle, improve starting, and provides a much higher RPM range. Includes adjustable mechanical advance which allows you to tailor the ignition curve along with a vacuum advance for improved fuel economy when used on street applications.

Well I think I have researched enough and found that KMJ is not the most loved company for selling  and has some complaints that I don't feel like dealing with. As far as what I can see, the above distributor is a POS and manufactured somewhere in China.
I purchased a duraspark distributor from EBay and I am sending it back because it's a POS. The reluctor stop ring was missing, as well as the reluctor rubbing the face of the magnetic pick up coil. The pickup coil assembly wobbled on the distributor shaft, hence the rubbing of the face on reluctor. The degree plates ears were warped upward allowing the weights to get stuck under the plate's stops. The only good part was it had a steel gear. What a joke and it  me off that this idiot sent the thing to me like that. It has me pretty hot right now. So this seller is getting it returned Monday and has been sent a nice message about the garbage he sells.
Anyway I started shopping closer to home and located a Duralast Duraspark Distributor which is also new. It is for a 1985 Ford Mustang HO 302 and looks to have the steel gear for my application into my 302 build TBird with E303 cam. If not, at least I can refuse the part right there. It has a Limited Lifetime Warranty on it too. If it's good to go, I will also get the wider cap adapter and the wide cap and rotor so I don't get any chance of spark jumps under the cap. This stuff is shown below. I hope tomorrow is a better day.
