408 stroker project (For Sale 5/2018) Reply #33 – July 24, 2008, 02:30:39 AM It happens oh well that 408 will be super nice. Even with a fixed up 302 you can still go pick on bikes and vetts and a new lancer EVO so with your car you should be able to kick some @$$. Quote Selected

Similiar Ideas Reply #41 – July 28, 2008, 07:08:22 PM I too am trying to complete my 88 TC 408. I am using 69 windsor block, comp cams 569 - 579 roller stroker cam Tfs Street heat intake, all forged innards tfs 185 heads with up graded springs, 42 lb injectors 255lph fuel pump AN 9 and an 8 lines and mallory fuel rails.MSD digital ignition and Lentek AOD It's not very pretty yet, but I will post some pics shortly. By the way, even after careful measuring I screwed up on the height of the intake and had to buy a Rousch 1 1/2 hood scoop to clear the front of the intake. Quote Selected

Definatly get some pics up I'd like to see them. I think I'll need to play with the hood too with some kind of scoop or something till I get some cash for a cowl hood. What 408 kit did you go with? I got the forged eagle kit w/ probe pistons should be around 10.3-1 w/ my heads. Quote Selected

I think they used a GT40 tubular intake though.I think that intake is 1.5" shorter than the tfs-r intake. I did see a turbo coupe on ebay in the past year with a 351w and tfs-r intake so I think its going to be close. I might have to just use some spacers on the hood bolts to pump up the rear and inch or so. Or just cut a hole and bolt-on a cheap hood scoop for now. Quote Selected
