I just read your last post... they should know what they are ordering on the threaded part.... there is a  an inlet thread size listed in the specs

New hose = identical to that hose
Old hose= different flare on male end

Talked to my mechanic today.  We decided to try the new hoses with the wrong flare and see if they would hold pressure, and how bad they do leak if they dont hold.  In the mean time I can get my car back in the yard for a while and can take the factory hoses and try to find someone to make replacements that match that way there is no confusion as to what I need. The only other option we can think of is to have someone re-machine the ends of the new hoses with the right flare.  Doubt I can find anyone locally that will do that either lol.

My mechanic stumbled across a website that advertised making Ford hoses.  On their site they also had a list of what # hoses were compatible with what vehicles.  He looked up each hose # online and looked at the ends.  Ended up finding a hose that had a inward flare, but also had a small outward flare too.  Checked with the parts house today and they had 1 of those hoses in stock.  He looked at it and he and checked it for fit.  Tomorrow the other hose comes in and Sunday I get my car back.  Model# for the hose is BH38187.  It doesnt show in the parts house computer to fit any specific vehicle.  Has a generic listing of 78-86 Ford.

Totally BAFFLING!!! I am lost for words. What is the year make and model of your car and production date???

POST A PHOTO OF YOUR STOCK HOSE AND BOTH FITTINGS. This is not Brain surgery.

Car is finished. I pick it up in the morning.  Will have the factory hoses then so I can post pics of them.  The only hose we found that has any kind of outward flare or taper was the one I listed so that is was he put on it.

OK make and model of the hose he installed that worked. I am very curious what it fits.

The hose is a BH38187.  Its made by Raybestos.  Oriellys said it shows to be for 78-86 Fords.  Said it didnt fit a specific vehicle according to their computers.  My car is an 87 Thunderbird Sport.  The hose isnt exactly the same as the stock hoses, but is the only thing we found that was compatible.  I had seen the Ebay listing that you posted last night.  It shows its for older cars then mine.  Wonder why my car has older style/model brake componants on it.
