86 v6 just need to know if they are tabs or I need to pull the car apart I have this as a just in case

83-84 cars require the dash pad to be removed. 85-88 cars just have snap on grill covers but they are a pain in the ass to get off and if you are not careful you can easily damage them.

Fwiw, the doors have openings and wiring for 5 1/4" just above the map pockets.
