I know I still gotta get that drivers door. Needs some grittier stuff than the rubbing compound. Maybe some wet sanding. Also wanna repaint the wheels black as well as the bumper covers. Maybe Ill paint the drumz and caliperz yellow and be extra cool? No.

And hopefully the wax works better than the  rainx fastwax I used on the tbird. I swear that car only stayed shiney for maybe two weeks.

My guess? Fuel prices.  Read the sig. And... more aerodynamics = more fuel econ.

Why not? Just cause its a y economy car? And yeah, my last fillup was 48.3 mpg. Thats COMBINED city and highway. Its only been getting better.

People bought these cars back when gas was like water. They beat the  out of them and threw them away. Except they last about 300,000 miles on average. Now that gas is a precious commodity people are grabbing them wherever they can. I got lucky and scored mine for $450 and now Im doing as good if not better on gas than most Prius owners that spend $20,000+ for something thats not tried-and-true.

Im using like half the gas that I was with the tbird, and even the bird is "decent" on gas. 25-30 mpg just doesnt cut it anymore.

I value pretty much every car that crosses my path, no matter what it is. If it does what it does so well, why should I not try to keep it around as long as I can and take care of it?

Amen! My father keeps telling me to not worry so much about my Turbo Coupe, because it's "just a beater". Every time we have that argument, I bring up his 89 Bird that he sped because he let it get to be in such bad shape that he couldn't manage to fix it.

You take care of a car, and it will take care of you.
It's Gumby's fault.
