User Rides / Re: New Addition
Looks like she's cleaning up nicely   What company did the convertible conversion on these? Did they strengthen the underbody at all, any added cross braces?

Engine Tech / Re: 83 External Fuel Pump?
I have a 190 LPH Walbro intank pump in my car for over 10 years now. Plenty of fuel for a stock 5.0L HO and it's even quieter then my original factory pump.  It was a drop in kit with filter sock, pump, hose, and mounting bracket but I forget where I purchased it.  Are you still running factory ignition?  If so,  it may be breaking down at high rpm. Make sure your spark plug gap isn't too wide first though.

Body/Appearance/Interior / Re: Cowl Hood Project
I think the CA smog rule for engine swaps requires the swapped engine in a car to be originally from a car and not at truck, In addition, I believe the engine has to be from the same model year or newer model year car. I'd probably have trouble find a 1988+ model year car, factory equipped with a 351W...I can only think of the 1993 Cobra R that had the 351W.  The 306 I have in my car now is originally from a '91 Mark VII, so CA smog is fine with it, as long as it blows clean on the chassis rolls. Also, I don't mention to them that it's been bored .030 to a 306 cid  8)

Engine Tech / Re: Front Accessory Drive Modifications
Looks good! I had the accessory brackets on my 5.0L engine powder coated in aluminum color about 10 years ago when I did the engine swap. The aluminum powder coat still looks new and is super easy to clean. Wish I would have powder coated the engine and trans mounts while I was at it...oh well  :nonchalance:

Lounge / Re: Antique tractors

This is a much more popular hobby than I thought it would be. It's pretty  cool

There isn’t much to do out here in the middle of nowhere. Doing a two day ride here the end of July, expecting around 150 tractors. About 60 miles each day. This will be the most organized one I’ve been on, had to pre register by a certain date, it’s split into groups based on travel speed. I went with the 12mph group, 15-16 is max speed on mine. There is a designated lead and tail driver, and had to sign a safety/no alcohol pledge. All the other rides I have been on you just show up and jump in line somewhere.

Cruises are always fun. I went on night time tractor cruise last year that was pretty neat to see all the tractors lighting up the countryside.  I drove our old 1946 McCormick W-9 on that cruise and Dad drove our 1951 John Deere diesel R...the 930 Case stayed in the shed that cruise

I believe the 930's are known for cylinder head cracking, but the engine in ours has several thousands hours on it after it's last rebuild in the 80's, during which we installed M&W pistons. I believe it made 80 HP at the crank, after last rebuild. Our 930 is mostly used for tractor cruises now and the occasional tractor pull.

Suspension/Steering / Re: NEW 10 hole wheels
I bought them reconditioned from Keystone (through RockAuto) and just sold my old ones locally. Was probably cheaper than having the old ones shipped back and forth. Plus, I'm not even sure if Keystone works directly with individuals, probably not.

I bet these are reconditioned wheels by Keystone LKQ (used to be TransWheel) in Indiana.  I have the reconditioned TurboCoupe snowflake wheels from them on my car and you can't tell them from new. In fact, I believe they actually did a better machined face on the wheel than the OE wheel supplier.  :birdsmily:
