I “flocked” my sun shade

I recently stripped my messed up sunroof shade and re-flocked it with material I got here: https://www.flockit.com


It was a tedious job, but it came out nice.

1988 T/C body with a 5.0 transplant. Motor has a Vortech V-2 supercharger, Edlebrock Performer RPM II intake, heads, FRPP F-303 cam, Comp Cams roller rockers, Power Pipe, LMAF, full Mac exhaust, lowered, Koni's, 5 lug conversion, Cobra wheels, 13" Cobra brakes, etc.
SOLD September 2020. Will miss this car after 19 years of building/driving/showing it off. Time for a new chapter in my life.
Dynoed 446 horse/409 torque at the wheels.
2003 Tenth Anniversary Cobra Convertible. 1 of 369 Torch Red made.
2021 Chevrolet 3500 dually, crew cab Duramax.

That turned out really well.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Pretty flocking nice! ;)

It's always bugged me that the factory shades always looked like  after just a few years. This is a great restoration solution. Thank you for sharing!

With my car, the arm rests and the door pockets are kinda sticky. Like the red vinyl is sticky. Wonder if this could be good alternative?

Have you tried Simple Green or warm water with Dawn dish soap using a Scotchbrite pad? This should help some followed up by a vinyl treatment from a reputable company like Meguiars. Sorry to hi-jack...

Ive tried simple green, it worked for a little while. Thats what I normally use to detail/clean interior bits. I think I had better luck with Goo-Gone. But clearly neither has permanently remedied the problem.
