quick 5lug question

pretty direct for  mark 7 rear axle shafts and brake stuff into a tc rear rite? nothing major to worry about? hopefully ill be going soon.

You mean like this??  No problems at all, just swap shafts brackets and brakes. :headbang:

I always thought that the Mark VII axles were too long for a T-Bird housing. I know the rear width ( to ) on a Mark is about 1.5" wider than a T-Bird or Cougar

Me too, but after I swapped the shafts and brakes, they measured out the same as the TC axle and brakes. I even put my Mach1 wheels on and had plenty of clearance.  Go figure :)

I think the housings are the same width, but the axle shafts vary in size.

5.0 HO, t5, TC rear, TC brakes, etc. - Gone

Or for an easier to find swap, SN95 rears are a perfect match

Ed did that same swap on his '87 and didn't recommend going with Mark VII brakes on a TC-width axle. He had problems with clearance.
