Equalizer block off

Has anybody done a nice block off plate for the factory equalizer?? It's not a full DIN, so I'm hoping someone has done this or knows a source. Thanks.

Cars that didn't come with a factory EQ had a handy little storage cubby there...

What about putting a retractable cup holder in the slot? You can pick these up on ebay and that would come in handy.

I'm not sure. When I researched and added cup holder to my cougar I thought that if I ever got rid of the equalizer I might want to go with an in dash holder. I ended up going another direction but I think it could be done with some time and research then contacting the seller to specify dimensions.
Ebay list 231 in dash cupholders right now. Possibly look at early 90's Nissan Sentra holders.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-1994-NISSAN-SENTRA-DASH-CUP-HOLDER-BLACK-/160953770366?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ANissan%7CModel%3ASentra&hash=item257997a17e&vxp=mtr

I just used clear acrylic sheeting painted black for my block offs for the radio and hvac.  I plan to put switches there but haven't got around to it.

Yup, that's the stuff I used.  I scuffed it up with some sandpaper then sprayed it with some rustoleum.  Has held up fine for several years.
