I sold my '88 Thunderbird a few weeks ago and I had these leftover trim pieces. They are brand new and I just pulled them out of the plastic they came in from the dealer.
I'm wrapping up a GT-40 intake swap on my '88 Sport.
There is one wire that I am a little confused on where it goes. Its a single wire with a connector on the end that runs along the drivers side fuel injector loom and down the front of the engine behind the power steering pump. It came un-plugged while I was moving the wiring harness around and I can't seem to figure out where it goes.
I'll be able to take a picture of it in the light tomorrow but I was just curious if anyone knew where it went...
I've only been a member a few days and I've already seen way more activity and input from members here than on the local general car scene forum where I live...
Its nice to see a bunch of like minded people who love their car come together and share their knowledge.
A friend of mine found this TC parked behind a shop. It was a project that never really took off and the owner wants to unload the car now. I tried just getting some parts off of it but he was pretty adamant that he wanted to sell the car and that $800 was what it was worth.
Anyway here are some pictures..
I'm interested in the rear end, hood, and front bumper. I was hoping I could get a members input and maybe see if anyone else needs anything off the car.
Its in Baton Rouge LA
and its a 5-speed car with 130k miles on it. The guy says the guy he bought it from said it ran but the current owner never bother to fire it up.
The price seems high because that's more than I paid for my '88 Sport... But I got a pretty good deal on my car.
So my '88 Bird has the premium sound and cassette player which seem to work great except for the fader... the front driver side speakers seem to be under powered or something and when I wiggle the fader they get nice and loud for a split second, then go faint again. I was wondering if this was a common thing and if there was anything I could do about it...
