Wow you got the chain rope treatment, looks like Cougars are really moving up in the world. :hick:
I'm really digging on that yellow Mustang GT too, and the T-top Thunderbird.
Thanks, Matt but we didn't want any baby strollershiznitting our Cougar so we set those posts up ourselves for our own protection. ;)
Looks like somebody is having fun while sum of us have to start digging out . Have the fun . Cat looks Great!
Wow, it's nice to see all those mint cars with indoor lighting. Your car looks nice there - that must've been fun.
Actually, what ever happened to World of Wheels? They usually show up this time of year. Holy !! It's this weekend!! (I just checked).
Here's 3 more:
U going?
dont know if i can tomorow night. wife goes out like one night a year and picked this saturday (weather pending).
1) I have my kids this weekend, which would be OK - I'd like to take them to the show after my daughters basketball game if it is wasn't for
2) the weather is going to suck tomorrow night
of all the cars there, and this will sound silly, i am digging that 79 t-bird. i always loved those big ,ugly, square things things for some reason.
I would have like seeing that yellow Torino as well. Nice job Merc Man
Phill, That T-bird is a 78 dude !! ;)
Victor, U asked real nice so now you will receive:1975 Torino
just a few more....
Awesome pics Dan.I love the Torinos.Your car looks great out there.
x2.............I'm not sure what year that one is,but I had a 1976 torino.
Dan the cat looks great! The chain rope is a nice touch too btw :)
This may sound harsh - but having lived through the underpowered "smog box" period, I just can't develop warm feelings for any American car built between 1974 to about 1979.
Even the late '70's Firebird my aunt gave me - I was so glad when it was demolished. I have 1975 Corvette cylinder heads (smog) - guess what they're worth? Nothing. A dark era in automobiling for a muscle car enthusiast like me. Sorry if I'm stepping on some folks fond memories :hick:
Yea that must have been haaaard to deal with lol all of a sudden everything gettin big and slow.
i love 72 to 84(ford smog years) because i can do any modification to them , it wont hurt there resale value plus in most cause's i get to pick them up for real cheep.
Will you be attending? I wasn't too impressed by it last year. I mean it was alright, I expected to see a lot more. When I used to go as a kid with my father I remember it being larger, although I was a kid I could have just thought it was huge.
 its a 78 and they arent ugly. they are the most popular and best selling thunderbird ever! :D
...Says the guy that drives a late 80's sled that made all of 150 thundering horsepower stock :D
I love that '78 T-Bird. Yeah, I know it was a smogged out underpowered sled, but that'd be just as easy to rectify as, say, installing a supercharged 5.0 into an anniversary Cougar ;)
If I ever had a '78 T-Top 'Bird it'd have to be green with the gold trim and fake trunk buckles, though. If you're gonna go with 70's cheese, might as well go all the way...
Me too. I was there every year when I was a kid growing up in the 70's, with my dad. The last time I went was mid-90's and it was about half the size it used to be. Then the last couple years it has gotten bigger again.
I had a '76 Torino, too.
I did end up going to World of Wheels - it was very well attended. Seemed to be about the same number of cars I remember from 10 years ago when I last attended. I took a few photos with my dad's cam (I dropped off my kids and took my dad).
Here is my dad with Keith - he's the kid from the rod shop (father & son) that painted my rear bumper.

Keith and his dad were wet sanding this '37 Ford when I was there to pick up my bumper:

This GT37 reminded me of my GTO, but also how there were odd models like "GTX", "GT37" & others from that era that I had forgotten about:

This Factory 5 Ford Roadster makes me want to sell my T-Bucket and buy one of these instead ($20k + drivetrain, wheels & paint).

I liked this "bubble car" - lol
(http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e360/Domeskull/IMG_4075.jpg)
Crazy '63 Corvette with an LS7 engine in it!
One of a number of '41 Willys at the show - these were more popular that '32 Fords.
There were quite a few Mustangs there, but I've seen them all at other shows. The one GT500 was nice but the photo didn't come out - oh, well.
Edit: Oh, and there was a beautiful '57 T-Bird, but I was too busy discussing the "fin" on the rear quarter with my dad that I forgot to take a photo of it :hick:
Cool pics as well. Nice to see I'm not the only one still loving the late 70' cars. For many who think they are too slow, there were quite allot of modified cars during these times as well, well making up for it all. Some were just plain wicked after modification. O, and thanks Dan
Tell me about that red beauty in the background.
Factory five has a new GTM "supercar" that they sell. $20k + drivetrain & wheels. Check out their website. (http://"http://www.factoryfive.com/gtmhome.html") I had no idea Factory Five was local to me - I see the Mk3 Cobra kits at the shows all the time.

Here's one with a roof scoop:

Looks better without the roof scoop. That blue one is nice! Nothing to clutter it up! (http://www.listangs.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
GTM isen't new, it's been offered a few years now.... I'm thinking about 4 years
The roadster is, just came out last year.

Those look great on the wall like that. Do they just sit on there, or are they fastened somehow?

It's cool seeing your car behind those chains! I'm also sorry for not being able to make the show. I really wanted to be there, but my schedule just wouldn't allow it. I've been busy digging myself out of a hole these last few weeks.
