T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Blower Motor Parts
I am looking for the blower motor controler/resistor for 85-88 cougar.  This is for a car with the automatic climate control, so the part is different than cars with manual control.

Thanks,
Chris

Electrical Tech / Blower Motor Questions
I have an 88 Cougar with the Electronic Climate Control.  Today I noticed my fan was barely blowing when it's on high.  On low it seems to be the same speed.  I figure it's probably the blower resitor.  I found it behind the glove box.  The thing is, it looks different then the one I have seen posted on here for an 84 cougar, and it's different than the one in my repair manual.  It has 3 screws to hold it in, and a HUGE heatsink, when I pull it out.  It looks like I need to pull the dash back to remove it completely, because the bar that the glove box attached to is in the way when I pull it out.  Has anyone else run into this?  I have had the dash apart before to change the heater core, but I'm not looking forward to doing it again.  Also, if it turns out to be the fan (which I will have to pull the dash for anyway I think) then is there a difference in blower motors from the manual and auto climate control??

Thanks,
Chris

Misc Tech / Seat belts
Has anyone tried changing the plastic cover on the front seat belt attached to the seat??

It looks like you could pull out the buckle  if you remove the staples holding it in.  I found a bergundy seatbelt, but my interior is grey.  The plastic is in good shape on both.

Engine Swapping / Can't communicate with scanner after swap
Hi!

I did the HO conversion on my 88 cougar.  I installed a computer from an 89 mustang, and converted my stock wiring harness for mass air.  The engine seems to run great, but when I accelerate, my check engine light flashes on.  I think it's a problem with my O2's but I can't seem to connect to the computer with a scanner to see what codes are coming up.  Is there any other modifications I need to do to the wiring harness?  I'm using a computer with part# E9ZF-12A650-C2A, catch code A9P.  I read somewhere that it may be because I need to modify the wiring harness for the O2 sensors?  Has anyone encountered this?

Thanks,
Chris
