Title: amp/sub and premium sound
Post by: Tbird232ci on December 27, 2004, 02:18:10 PM
okay, you can tell im a stickler for keeping premium sound, i was just discussing putting a sub in my red bird, which has all aftermarket stuff in it already, but my buddy suggested possibly adding a sub like the MN12's had

would it be possible to add an amp/sub? aftermarket or not?

i was figuring you could take the speaker outputs from the head unit, splice RCA cables into them, since they are un-amplified, and run those to an amp

Yeah that would work, even if you were to take amplified signal you could by a Line-Level Converter which would give you RCA jacks. Just make sure the amp you get has a Low pass crossover to block out the high frequencies and send only the lows to the sub.
