from what i've found through numerous searches and talking to a few people, there's something in the way of letting the rear drop further.. it could be any number of things hanging it up, i'll find out when i put my LCA's in.. i'm sure it's just something stupid a sawzall and a little fab work can fix in no time

Yeah it's not literally sitting on the ground....just pulled up the listing and saw that and my eyes almost fell outta my head. Used to the stock height of these cars, which, to many an observer could be alleged as truck-like. Lowered cars are tough with me, I'm poisoned by all these VW's and Hondas on this one local forum that people build and insist on this "stance" look. A "stance" that involves (literally as they show) a credit card's thickness gap between the tire and wheel opening, and tires stretched onto a wheel that's a million sizes too wide, so you have this gaping wheel rim sticking out like a in top or something, and of course let's throw in assloads of negative camber LOL. I see it and fits of rage start overcoming me.

To each his own but like anything there's wild and tasteful....and then there's just...asinine.

HEY, watch the negative camber comments.. that's my favorite truck club.. :beatyoass: lol

the too narrow of a tire thing is a euro thing.. if you see a honda moron with a setup like that, just yell 'THAT'S NOT JDM..' you'll get a rise out of them lmao

i recall a white cougar i found on car domain.. it was fully bagged with F.B.S.S. but it wouldn't lay out.. i sent him a message to ask why, as that's basically the route i'm taking my white TC.. he has yet to get back to me, though.. i'll find out the hard way ;) .. i'm beginning to wonder if it's because of the inner wheel wells.. tackling something like that scares most people, when it comes to a unibody car.. but i'm a mini trucker, so if it's bagged.. IT BEST LAY FRAME, like so.. ;)

Well bagged is one thing....when people set those things up permanently like that, I want to ask them if they live in a fantasy world where the entire interstate system is watkins glen? Plenty of sharp elevation changes, bumps potholes....hope they like getting their exhaust ripped off or just not being able to drive it anywhere. Especially Upstate NY roads. DEATH WISH. Seriously...

i hear ya.. same goes for the guys with S10's who do 6/7 drops.. they sit about as low as that cougar and anyone who's ever been under an S10 should know.. the front of the gas tank hangs just a taaaaaaad below the frame rail.. needless to say, i've sold some of my old gas tanks.. lmao

I like cars to drive, and trucks to haul . I don't see any point in making either one not do either. I was driving my 87 bird couple hundred miles a day, and I had 2 to 3 guys in a car pool, with 300-400lbs of equipment in the trunk. If the rear was lowered at all I doubt I could even drive it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

bags don't hinder towing or ride height.. it's all fully adjustable with the flick of a switch or push of a button.. if that cougar is bagged, fully aired up, it will sit at least 2" above ride height

example of bags not hindering towing payload.. and this truck tows all over the east coast for shows and such -

I understand how bags work. I have used them before.

But the guys that cut up the frames to put in the irs and cut holes in the bed for tires to fit, stuff like that. I could see bags to lift, but why take out what's already there and works?

Not trying to single anyone out, but I think dropped trucks look retarded.
