Body/Appearance/Interior / Which color mirrors????
I have painted one of my mirrors gloss black to decide what color I liked better. Here is a picture of the gloss black mirror.


Here is a picture of the factory cabernet red mirror.


I realize that the cabernet red mirror is faded. To the best of my knowledge, it is the original factory paint. I kind of like the gloss black. Let me know what you think.

Drivetrain Tech / 5sp vibration
Since I have done the 5speed conversion, I have a vibration. I had used my stock aod driveshaft. I have changed driveshafts and still have a vibration. Is the tranny mount the sames for the aod & 5speed? Is it possible that the bushings in the rear control arms are bad enough to give this vibration? If someone else who done the 5speed conversion had this problem, what did you do to get rid of the vibration? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Electrical Tech / 20th anny light beside grille
Are the lights beside the grille supposed to blink with the turn signals on the 20th anny cougars? I have changed the complete interior (including the dash) a couple years ago. The reason I asked is because I had to replace 1 of the bulbs. I have double filament bulbs (2357) in both the lights beside the grille and the corner lights. My corner lights do blink when the turn signals are on.

Is there a way to make my factory keyless entry work with a remote like the newer cars do? I have a 87 20th anny. This would be a nice feature if we could do this.

Electrical Tech / Headlight Relay Install. What do you think??

A Quick and Easy Headlight Upgrade

I was playing around with this on our Cougar. I know the article shows the older style headlights (prior to 87 on the cougars & tbirds) on a chevy.I know the newer style headlights are supposed to be brighter. I have gotten a reading of 14.44v at the battery & 12.56v at the headlight (low beam). After rigging up a rekay set up, I got 14.38v at the battery & 14.10v at the headlight (low beam). By doing this, I picked up almost 2v at the headlight. Would this create any problems to our cars such as the headlight overheating, wires getting hot, etc...?
