I think I'm gonna smooth them and paint them body color or satin black to match the trim/headlight buckets. I'm painting it white/satin black, no chrome. It does run but it has 2 blown freeze plugs, and I haven't yet tried to inspect to see if a head is cracked. I started cleaning the interior, and I sanded the quarters and poked a whole through one, so time for some bondo. It doesn't have to be perfect for along time. It'll have flared fenders and quarters when I'm done with it.

BY THE WAY: This is the original paint on this car. I have to sand the pinstripe off, and the quarters, doors and fenders are fairly rusty, but not too terrible. The one quarter was bad enough to poke a hole through.

I am planning some hefty body mods to this, including fender and quarter flares(real sheet metal flares), maybe some brake vents similar to Chuck's, some changes to the front end, custom hood, and maybe some tweeking to the decklid.

I have an idea of what I'm gonna do to the already hacked bezel. I'm glad he didn't chop it completely apart. There is an accent line that frames the three spaces(HVAC, stereo, lighter panel) so I'm gonna trim out the frame, and replace it with a sheet of aluminum, that way it won't look out of place. I may paint it to match the dash which is darker. My Cougar has the brushed aluminum face.
