Last year he was a good boy, but for this embarrassing moment in the mall know I have to show the world. I can’t believe I paid for it but it’s kind of priceless.
Anyone know where I can send this and win money maybe ill get my $20 bucks back.
Finally posting that I’m complete w/my rebuilding of motor. Here we go starting from the bottom. ROTATING ASSEMBLY is stock E7 crank cut .020 fresh rings & bearings. Fulton street machine shop in Farmingdale did all my machine work. Mellling high volume oil pump new pick-up and pan. CAMSHAFT TFS-1 not degreed just put in at “0” HEADS GT40 irons milled .040 w/a .039 compressed felpro 1011-2 gasket approx 10:1 compression. Exhaust side is mildly ported thematic bump grinded down; intake side just touched the impurity’s inside and the bur on the end (not much I now) INTAKE explorer GT40 touched a little w/the grinder same as the intake side of the heads TB 70mm BBK, EGR eliminator bracket Still running the 19lb injectors and stock mass air meter (right now this is my weak point) I did inquire 24lbers from a J/K 460 for free but have no maf to match right now. BBK fuel pressure reg BBK cold air EXAUST-FRPP shorty headers to BBK X-pipe (no cats) to straight pipes going out back. Need s to loud right now. Other HP helpers Smog pump deleted A/C deleted Electric fan ChuckW motor mounts High energy ignition coil FRPP wires TRANSMISSION- Lentech street terminator with O/D delete switch With a 2600-2800 stall converter REAR still stock 7.5 w/3.55 in it. Soon upgrade T/C 8.8 rear in garage waiting not decided what gears to run though 3.55, 3.73, or 4.11 Other late mod is 140 Speedo that I’m still trying to figure out. Took all summer to rebuild, finally cranked it over/started it at the end of September still no time to drive it finally posting this by the time I’m done w/this car it will truly be a classic. OK heres my dumb/I’m still a kid question what’s some of your opinions of how much power I’m making (FHP or gross)(FHP w/ac or NET) and (GWHP or rear wheel NET) and (GWHP or rear wheel)
Short and sweet video gotta get s, but it’s the car at idle showing off the thundercat electronics sequential taillights
some motor pics
Before I put the motor in I put some fresh paint on, wish I didn’t rush it though but it came out better then I thought for a rush job.
heres the lentech trany next to the AOD check out the shafts
Dumb question but my heat ant blowing out and I’m getting cold. Its dark right now and I don’t remember where it’s located. I thought it was located in the fire wall but I’m wrong.
Does any one know what a fair price for a tubular GT40 upper only would be? I’m looking to buy one from a guy from corral, he states it’s in mint condition and he’s asking 350 for it. I now they don’t make them anymore, but how much did ford ask for it $. and did anyone hear if someone was going to remanufacture it like the cobras
OK so I’m trying to do a quick gasket port on the intake and the head on the intake side before I reassemble heads are gt40 irons (not p) and gt40 intake w/a felpro 1250 gasket not that this matters but if some wanted to know.
My question is how do you align the gasket on both I was told to center it around the port. but I have a felling it should be centered best around the bolt holes and I back that because looking at the intake and the old marking from the old gasket it wasn’t near centered.
My second question on the intake by where they injector sits on the bottom end of the intake where U s down off the rectangle port, is it ok to port away to the gasket or will I screw up the flow of the injector. I’m felling it might even improve injector flow.
Last with the little porting experience I have, in the past I notice on iron a hard bit don’t ware out but is slow in removing material and softer bit removes material quite quick but ware out just as quick and I never had much luck w/ those stele bits maybe I’m not using them correctly.
Finally I recently read the post by ChuckW and was very impressed by his work porting those turbo heads.
Not taking about the rear but the front brakes spindals, rotors, calaples ect.. Dose any one know if this conversion is possible taking front brakes from a 91 TBird cause I did not see it on the list of possible donor vehicles on Eric’s site. http://www.coolcats.net/tech/advanced/4to5lug.html
I presently own a TFS-1 CAM and I’m rebuilding my motor as some of you know the question is I could get an E-CAM for nothing. Might it be a better cam for what I’m doing my basic set-up is going to be stock E7 rotating assembly GT40 iron heads 10.1 compression GT40 explorer intake 70mm TB and mass air. I know most would say the TFS-1 is a no-brainer and I agree but what I’m wondering since the I could get the cam for free and the mostly stock ford build might I see the E-cam being better for me.
I know the TFS-1 cam comes on at 2000 rpm, when does the E-cam come on this might help my decision since I’m probably going w/a 2800 stall converter.
Anyone know about these transmissions cause a guy I know has one sitting in his garage for a couple of years. He was holding it as a backup for his stang he said if it has 1000 miles on it its alot. I believe it’s the street terminator. He thinks it has a 2600-2800 stall converter on it. If that’s true is that to high for a TFS-1 cam. And he’s wants 1500 for it firm watcha think cause I’m leaning towards buying it. Last question how much of an upgrade is this tranny over a stock AOD w/a transgo shift kit.

As some of you already saw this coming from my few posts questioning issues of squeezing in a 351 into a fox. I figured id make this the main posts. Personally I’m getting a lot of positive impute on throwing in the bigger 351. The only hard obstacle I see right now is the hood clearance as for the oil pan they sell a kit and the front assembly too. Where I’m getting mixed opinions from is staying w/the EFI or going CARB. Knowing most of you on this forum I think most will say EFI but there is a difference in cost especially if I decide to up the heads and cam or even stroker it on a latter day. Gas mileage means nothing to me since the car is a weekend warrior. And a carburetor would look so nice under the hood. And it would make those hood scopes operational on the turbo hood but now im getting a hint that a carb 351 won’t clear either.
