whats the best valve cover gasket for no leakage on steel
5.0 motor covers ? ford --felpro or others?

I use the fel pro, re-usable rubber ones with the washers in the bolt holes... I have never had one leak yet.

"Perma-Dry" or Cork?

I need to pick up a set of gaskets myself... Not sure if i should fork out the extra $15+ for the "perma-dry" or not, heh.

I put cork on everything I can..

you've also been through more motors than anybody i know, too.

cork gaskets suck. best ones are the metal with the rubber lining.

I'm only coming up with these 2 choices (locally at least, And for a 6 Banger).

I'll probably just go for the Steel Stamped Perma-Dry Plus...
The ones that are on right now are Cork, And are really stiff, cracked and drenched in oil...

X2, I never use cork, Even if I am just going to flip the car, I will redo the gaskets with rubber, whenever I take something apart..
