i recently bought my 87 TC to begin a project. i am currently livin in an apt and cannot easily do major car work. the plan was to rent some space to work on it. then we decided to move. our new place has a 2 car garage, YAY!!

heres the problem; i got a car, and a stack of parts but no place to work on it and we dont move till the 24th. :brick:
lookin for some help. maybe if i can talk about my project, i wont feel so bad about not gettin to work on it...
so heres the list of parts i have to throw at it, feel free to discuss

front:
tubular k-memeber/control arms
bilsteins from 03 cobra with 400lbs coilover kit
04 13" cobra brakes
poly bushings everywhere
CC plates
strut tower brace

rear:
modded 99 cobra IRS
poly diff bushings
delrin control arm bushings
00 cobraR springs
bilsteins from 03 cobra

drivetrain:
lots of goodies for the 2.3T
ploy motor mounts
poly tranny mount
poly tranny crossmember bushings

other misc:
6 pt cage
thru floor SFC's

still need to gather a few odds and ends parts for final assesmbly, but all the big parts are present and accounted for. now if i can jus get moved then i can start

i am so stoked! i jus finalized plans to pick up my new-to-me 87TC:

gonna take a short road trip on friday to pick her up. this will replace my 89 turboranger. i have been outta the 2.3T thing for a year and a half, and i had been itchin for a new project pretty bad.

i have a huge pile of parts to toss at this car almost immediatley after i get it home. gonna turn it into an autoX/open track/summer DD.

jus wanted to share my evenings joy:D

Misc Tech / race weight?

im gettin ready to start a TC project. i have been around fox cars for awhile, but only a lil bit into the Tbirds.
jus found this site and its great for learnin more of small differences between the fox platforms!

was wonderin how much weight you guys have gotten out of your Tbirds, especially the 87-88 cars. looks like they are startin out in the 3500# range. anybody under 3000#? and what all did ya remove to get to the weight you have now?

im not lookin to "tin can" the car, but most if not all options will be deleted. what will it weigh?
