Engine Tech / Turbo motor differences??
So Im taking my 87 TC's turbo out to put in my 88 Cougar LS and oops it has a cracked block. So a buddy gave me a worn out turbo motor he had lying around his shop. Its an older engine, has a garrett on it so Im thinking 84-86. My engine had a roller cam, this one doesnt. Are there any other major internal differences?

Body/Appearance/Interior / "Chromed" Intake Manifold
So I started playing with my spray on chrome process and did my intake. Did it in pearl white for my TC (town Car) hehe but you get the idea. Did the name plate in reg chrome and hand painted the lettering and FORD symbol.

Engine Tech / Cougar LS Turbo psi question..
Thanx Chuck, thats what I thought. And I think its Cinnabar. I have to double check. You can eat off the floor in the rear seat. Was owned by an old woman who blew the engine (3.8) so her son took out the drivetrain and never got around to fixing it. So I picked it up cheap. The brown interior is spotless to

Drivetrain Tech / Inner bearings for a 5 lug conversion
Ok, Im using the front suspension from my 87 Turbo coupe on my 88 LS BUT Im (trying) doing a 5 lug conversion. I have most of the info down. Im just going to buy Mark VII front rotors, BUT which inner bearing do I use, the one for the Thunderbird spindle or the the Mark 7 rotor?... havent found any info that says it directly. im not planning on getting an SN95 anything as I have a complete car.(TC)
Also, HOW do I convert my 87 TC's rear disc into a 5 lug??? it gets VERY confusing when reading through all the different ways to just get a swap these axles in and you have to do this......etc

Thanx again

PS Someone do a sticky for each type for those of us not good at this stuff... 4 to 5 Lug conversions for Dummies LOL

My bud asked me a question.. whats the most PSI the standard (smaller) turbo on my 87 can handle? We have a new one in the box so I can save some moola but using it and not buying or upgrading.. Thanx, any other ideas... shoot me a message!!
