Misc Tech / Re: Throttle to gas pedal cable
Just an FYI about wide open throttle. Several years ago, I replaced the original floor mats with some custom embroidered mats.
Some time later, I had the car being Dyno tuned and the tuner couldn’t achieve wide open throttle, it was the floor mat preventing the pedal from fully reaching the floor. He yanked the mat out of the car, problem solved. I still had the original floor mats and overlaid it onto the new mats and the new driver’s side mat did not have a provision to properly allow the pedal to fully travel to the floor. I marked the new mat, removed the binding along the edge and cut it to the contour of the factory mat. I then took the new mat to a cobbler shop and had him restitch the edge binding.
Problem that was not very evident at first.
