Window dowel replacment.

Ok, found the repair dowels at Oriellys price $7.99 plus taxes.

So today I remove the door panel after reading the instructions on.
http://supercoupeperformance.com/

Very straight forward, except the removal of the millions of urethane dowel parts from the motor housing.

After a complete cleaning and attempt at replacing the parts. The motor brushes were becoming a problem, the magnet in the motor kept pulling the armature out of the assembly. After trying several different things. I decided to drill holes in the housing to allow me to replace the contact springs and spring keepers.

Once I did that and making a guess at where to drill and a little Dremel work. I did reassembly. final step was to slid the contact springs into place one at a time and slip the spring keeper in behind the spring. using a cupped tool I made for this (bronze welding rod, heated and hammered to shape)

Then good ole Duct tape to seal the new holes.

The dowels can be made of wood and would require a 1/2 inch dowel.

If you dont have the motor jammed by a thoudand pieces of dowel, then you dont need to drill the housing.

Next headliner!!!
