T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / 1988 TC and 87 TC Parts Car
I have an 88 TC that was a driver when parked inside several years ago and an 87 parts car.  Both are 5 speed.
I am in north west Florida.  Is there any interest in a package deal?

If so I can get some pictures and come up with a price.

I'm not sure if the 5.0 has it but my 88 TC has 2 temp senors. One fed the gague & the other fed the computer to tell it the engine was at operating temp....my sensor that fed the computer went out and it ran in warm up mode (rich) all the time.  That can kill your MPG.

Suspension/Steering / ? Rubber thing in coil spring
Does anyone know what the purpose of the plastic/rubber thing in the rear coil springs(inside it from the factory)?  I have my mess all apart and am wondering if I can just toss these or if there is some purpose I am not thinking of.    Hopefully you know what I am talking about.  If not I'll uplad a picture.  Thanks.

Thanks.  I'll see if I can locate some urethane if not I'll stick with enamel .  Either way I'll keep the coats thin.

Thanks Vinnie.  Mine aren't bad but they are out.  It seems I can't remove a part & re-install it without a fresh coat of paint.

Anyone have luck painting coil springs & having it stick.  I assume the flexing is rough on enamel.

What paint did you use & how is it holding up?

Suspension/Steering / Rear dif bushing ?
Hi everyone,

I am swapping the rear end in what I hope to become my DD soon with one from a parts cat I picked up that looks like it has been gone thru already. (big glob if rtv around the cover, bearings are tight & seals are dry...and it does have oil in it)

I want to replace the bushings and from what I gather the mustang kit should work.  Has anyone used this on a 87/88 bird ?

I'm just trying to get back to stock status so I don't want/need any performance parts.
Is this reasonable price wise or am I overlooking a better deal,etc.

While I am asking does the 79-93 front/rear kit work on a 88 bird?  I'll need to deal with the front end also at some point soon.
