Suspension/Steering / Torque boxes
I suppose I should've clarified, I did weld my torque boxes after they ripped. If I had the chance to stiffen them before they ripped I would do it, only because it wasn't a very fun process at the time.

Those full adjustable torque boxes for the mustangs look pretty neat though, sorta a reverse trac bracket.

Mustang battle boxes fit, on my 3.8 I had just welded the seam after tearing them.  I would not simply weld them, its not a resolution only a bandaid.

I'm blown away by what LMR and 50resto charge for these crossmember bolts and j nuts, I understand they're special, but 200$ for four bolts and nuts?

Looks like I'm getting some used ones haha.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / Brand new member - looking for advice on an upcoming purchase.
1. Gas tank hangers, quarters above well, front shock towers, rocker caps in the front wells.

2. Been a long time since I've had an AOD, someone else will know better

3. The drain hoses need to be clear, depending where it's been they can clog. Seals are available from sunroof doctor

4. Everything but the 87-88TC has some flavor of 7.5" some with trac-loc

5. Nothing outright, some will drop the door glass but it's a simple repair.

Managed to get the driver side Kmember bolts out, it was a battle. Pretty happy i can just cut the passenger side, cause that was zero fun.

Zach you will need to patch them, the mustang floors are different. With that said, it's not a particularly difficult pan to create from sheetmetal if your existing floor is there to take good measurements from.

80% you say? They're a heck of a lot of fun to build up, just gotta keep 922r in mind as you do it.

Made some decent progress today, all the brake/fuel line clips came loose.

-Pulled wheel well liners
-Got the calipers pulled and hung
-Dropped swaybar off the frame hangers
-Broke the rear K member bolts loose
-Broke the strut bolts loose

Tried to drop the driver side front Kmember bolts, promptly broke the tabs off the nut plates. Got them turning with a breaker bar, but decided to let them soak in oil for a while and try it later. Or borrow a nut splitter.

Passenger side I'm just going to cut through them via my engine bay access hole.

Engine Tech / 2.3T Lower Intake Sensor Locations
Looks like I need to drill and tap that hole, or move the ACT up to where the EGR port is.

Never realized the 87-88 were the only ones to get the ACT sensor

Engine Tech / 2.3T Lower Intake Sensor Locations
Started swapping sensors over to my new motor, noticed I have quite a few differences between the two intakes. One is a E7 and the other is an E5, both are box style, question is where does the ACT sensor go in the E5 intake?

I assume I will just plug the coolant port on the bottom of the lower as the 88 seems to take coolant temp over by the shock tower.

I've been carrying a P225 for about a decade now, it's bigger than your Walthers by quite a bit though. During my hiatus from working on cars I got interested in building firearms, have done a few rewelds now with another on the bench waiting for some lathe time to neuter the bolts naughty bits before building it up.
