Miscellaneous For Sale/Wanted / FS: Accel fuel rail pressure gauges
I have (2) but selling seperately Accel fuel rail pressure gauges for the Ford 5.0 motor.

I bought them when I was working on a project on my 92' Mustang. One was used VERY little. The other is new. I ended up using a liquid filled gauge.

They apparently go for $70.00 a piece now at summit.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / While I'm at it..
I just sold off the seat belt sleeves from the Cougar (88). I was looking at the shoulder belts themselves. They are in pretty nice shape. No tathering and  little to zero fade.

Gray in color..

Anybody in need of a replacement set?

Someone was also asking about the seat belt hooks that monut under the head rests. I have both of those (gray) in very nice shape.

Miscellaneous For Sale/Wanted / FS: inch 10,000 RPM Autogauge Monster Tach with shiftlight.
5 inch 10,000 RPM Autogauge Monster Tach with shiftlight.

In nice shape. I repainted the silver collar that holds the tach to the ped mount as it had some scratches on it. I'm picky LOL. Lots of orig wire left and the yellow cap for the light included. Used for a short period of time by a family member then the vehicle was sold and the tach was removed. I am going with Phantom gauges in my Notch and do not have a need for this taking up closet space anymore.

Also willing to trade for phantom gauges or other MUSTANG parts up or down. Let me know what you have.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / Parting out 88 Cougar LS 5.0
I sort-of half assed said I was parting this car a while back and honestly, I thought about it and I wanted to keep the car in one piece. Reality has set in the last 6 months of seeing it sit in my driveway and I know I will never do anything with the car. I am taking a few parts off the car for my 5.0 swap into my 89' Mustang Notchback but 99.9% of the parts are available.

Grey exterior with very little surface rust
Light grey interior that is actually pretty nice sans the usual cracked dash and door handle insert/cup damage.

Before it is asked...the tail lights are shot ;)

Miscellaneous For Sale/Wanted / 97 Ranger part out
I have a 97 Ranger that is going to the s yard next week, It has approx 140k on it IIRC. 2.3L dual plug motor.. Auto trans.It has the factory tube header and all parts still attached. The truck drove great until the cat clogged and my brother in law pretty much parked it.

ANY parts you need, lmk...I dont expect to make a ton of money from this thing. Just make me offers on any parts you could use for your 2.3L Stangs.

There are some good body parts too, anybody with a Ranger, let me know what you need. It has Euro/clear tails and headlights/corners that are in good shape. Good interior trim ect.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / Might part my 88..Cougar..
I have made plans to remove the drivetrain and all related parts, rebuild the motor to H.O and beyond specs and transplant it into my 89 Mustang.

I  already have all the front accessories removed from the motor and I am getting it ready to be removed.

I am now looking to possibly part the car.



Does anybody need parts?

List what you may want or need, I'll tell you if those parts are worth buying.

I know that many of you are cursing my name right now but between all my other items on the burners and the condition of the car (it's fair, but would need far more then what I am honestly willing to put into it) this is the direction that I feel I need to go.

I will not be looking to make a fortune here and I will remember the help that some of you have extended to me when I was looking for parts. I'd just like to help out my funds a lil for the rebuild/swap project.

 If anybody somewhat local to me (Asheville, NC) would be interested in the rolling chasis before it gets plucked apart let me know. If not, I'll gut it and to the s yard it will prob go to make a few more extra bucks.

Engine Tech / 5.0 HO vs. SO v2.0 LOL
I'm at a cross roads...


I want to rebuild my 5.0 in the 88'.

Question...

All intake trac/cam/head  parts aside. Are the block and rotating assembly in the SO the same as the HO?

I'd love to just pick up a Summit Racing rebuild kit w/ forged pistons and get the machine work done and call it a day. OR.. Will I need to honestly upgrade to better crank/rods (least HO) if I want to aim for 300-350 crank HP?

Miscellaneous For Sale/Wanted / 1997 Ranger parts
I have a source for parts from a 1997 Ranger. 2.3L dual plug auto trans. The cat took a  and ever since the truck has been parked (year or so). The body is rough so I am looking to pretty much part this thing out.

Any interest in parts?

Engine Tech / Coolant flush
What brand of chem flush does anybody recomend?

It (my 88) is running hot. I did the stat and refilled the rad but the rad is not flowing as evidenced from watching the tubes in the tank not flow. The rad was new back when they(prev owner) parked the car but years of sitting has gunked it up. I drained the rad and ran straight water through it but it's not breaking up the crud. The fins are very ped up but if I lightly take a screw driver to them, the shiznit falls off and new looking metal is exposed. In other words, the car was using what equates to dust for coolant LOL.

Any suggestions as to what kind of flush that WORKS I can pick up at the parts store?

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Shift linkage Grommet
For the kick down cable on the throttle lever at the TB.

Anybody have one.

If it is missing, what are some of the issues that can arrise.

My 88' seems to have no real kick down at wot from slow starts and I am missing the grommet.

TIA.
