Frame looks really good, just some major rust on the fender well in the rear passenger wheel, its eaten all the way through to the door jam, so I've got some welding work on my hands, but other than that, she's in really good shape.
yeah, not me. I found this thing with a little rust around the rear wheels, and when i pulled it out from under its tree, discovered a lack of a rear passenger wheel well. still gonna save it tho!
so I guess my biggest question of the day is does anyone know where i could possibly get some aftermarket body panels for this thing? or know of any places that hang on to something like this that i could buy panels from...she's a little rusty underneath haha
yeah I had a tripod for the expensive camera, and laid the cheapo on the ground and drove over it. cats got an open diff, we tried water to get it to spin both, but as you can see that didnt work. lol I guess it took turning all the cameras off to get it going!
Got a double feature for ya here. Took the old '83 out for a last hurrah before being stored for the winter. bought new rubber for it, so i figured why not!
Yeah it wasn't too loud at that point. With the car's current condition, I think this is going to be the last summer for her like this. The engine leaks oil pretty bad from the front main/oil pan area, and the transmission is hating me lately. Future plans include a new engine, shooting for a 351c, a rebuilt manual transmission, and a 9 inch locking diff, if I'm feeling lucky. It'll be a while before she sees the light of day, but totally worth it I think.
Hey guys just finished a really good vid of the cougar. Took the Cat out for a great evening in the country...cant believe i just said that...Turned out i needed the drive more than I thought.
anyone know what kind of dimension change the different years of 351 where made? is there a certain block from a certain car that would be preferrable, and/or one i should stay away from?
my supposed deal from the '70 failed to pan out. turns out the"engine" was still in the car, which was then "conditionally sold." two days later another ad goes up just for the engine. i quit trying.
Hey guys, still running with the old 5.0, but its giving my a troublesome sound. the starter performs normally on a cold start, but when the engine is still warm, it seems to wobble at me. instead of your usual starter, it gives me a "wow wow wowowowow wow" almost like the motor is resisting, but it catches after a second and fires right up. once it all cools down, it doesnt seem to have any issues, cranks and catches like a charm. its just when the motor is hot. maybe a change of staters is in order, or is it an internal issue that should be adressed asap?
