T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / Chuck W rear shock mounts, new
Everyone, I also remembered that I had a pair of Chuck's rear lower shock mounts hanging around that didn't make it onto my 88 TC before it got sold.  These are still new in the package.

Not sure what the going rate is on these, is $55 shipped reasonable?

I'm located in Caledon Ontario Canada, just outside of Toronto. Shipment would be by postal service.  Please send a p.m. if interested.

thanks,
Ed

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / FS: 87-88 TC body parts
Hey everyone

Been awhile since I've posted on here, last spring I'd sold my 88 TC to a nice guy down in the Cleveland Ohio area who was looking for a clean one.

Anyway, the previous owner to me had passed along some body parts from a rusty TC that he had parted out, and the new owner was not interested in taking them.  So I have front and rear bumper covers, the headlight header panel, and two doors (which are rusty but have the glass and all the guts in them), along with grey interior door panels.  I'd like to free up some space in my storage area, this stuff can all go for $100.

The kicker is that it's obviously not worth it to ship this bulky stuff anywhere, so you would have to come get it, or I could possibly meet within an hour's drive.  I'm located in Caledon Ontario, which is about 45 min NW of Toronto.

Figured that I would give any Fox Bird owners in southern Ontario / Western New York first shot at this stuff before it gets advertised on kijiji.  Please send me a p.m. if you are interested in these pieces.

thanks,
Ed N.

Body/Appearance/Interior / Faded raven black cloth seats - any thoughts on redyeing?
So I don't have any interior shots, but you can see through the rear window in this photo from the ad on the 88 TC I recently made a deal on ... the tops of the raven black cloth seats are very faded, almost blue now.  This is on the front and rear.

I can probably find some Mustang headrests to swap on the front, but at this point I don't want to get in to recovering the seats or replacing them.  Has anyone had any sort of long or mid-term success using fabric dyes that are available from various sources?  The rest of the car is quite good cosmetically, and the interior is solid as well, no rips or tears and little wear.  So if I could do something about the fading, it would potentially look really great.

thanks,
Ed

User Rides / New here with an 88 TC
Hello all, I'm a longtime Ford / Mercury lover and owner that made a deal on a nice 88 Turbo Coupe this week.  It is a high mileage car that was completely taken apart for the repaint several years ago, and hasn't covered a lot of miles since then.  The engine and trans are out of a lower mile but rusty TC that was parted out by the same person.

Plans are to lower it a bit, and probably do a 5-lug swap to open up the aftermarket wheel selection.

It's a 5-speed car with a black & grey cloth interior.  Worst part of the car cosmetically is some fading on the tops of the seats.  Nice to be in a Fox car again.  Previously I've had an 87 Mustang LX 5.0 hatch brand new back in the day, an 85 Marquis LTS 5.0 (Canadian-only Merc version of the LTD LX), an 85 Capri RS 5.0L, an 85 Marquis wagon, an 87 Mark VII LSC, and an 89 Mustang GT.

cheers
