Smog question

Any input on this is better than what I got now. I have an 84 Elan w/5.0. I swapped out the stock exhaust manifolds for stock headers off of a HO 5.0. Since the stock manifolds had an oxygen sensor in it, and the headers dont, I was wondering if it would pass smog? I dont think it would matter since the sensor was dead any way.

Easy enough to have a shop weld a threaded sensor "bung" into the pipe. Computer cars tend to run better when all the sensors are working properly.

The h-pipe that your gonna need with those headers, have O2 bungs in them. :D
