Body/Appearance/Interior / sidepipes?
anyone running a foxbody with sidepipes?  Would love to see some pics, think it could be a very cool look although I worry about cab noise

Suspension/Steering / Rear Disc Conversion
Good Morning Everyone,
I'm thinking about swapping the drums in my 85 Tbird to disc and have been looking at kits.  I may go 5 lug, may not - that really depends on the practicality of the matter.  Anyway, has anyone else done drum to disc and if so did you buy a kit, which kit...and were there any unexpected issues that maybe the kit didn't cover (i.e. master cylinder, proportioning valve, etc.)?
Any guidance here would be a huge plus.  Thanks.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / what to do, what to do...
Just found this forum the other day, loving it.
So, my project is an '85 Tbird, 5.0
It has 53k original miles on it and is pristine.  All original (even the tires until last year), the only upgrade is a aftermarket stereo system.
I'm in the process of building a 351w stroked to 410 cid, with all the bells and whistles - an easy 500/500 (hp/torque) powerplant.  It will stay unassuming on the outside, a tribute to its look and kind of falling into the sleeper category.
Then comes the tranny, rear end, exhaust, and a few suspension upgrades.
Money is not the issue, I'm wondering if I should leave the car alone and pass it on (ebay) to someone who wants to keep it original.
A part of me wants to find something else to slam this new motor into and leave the Tbird alone, the other part of me wants to continue with this sleeper build and relive high school.
I don't even know what I'm going to do with the original 5.0 once it's out.

thoughts?

Misc Tech / 1985 T-Bird Exhaust
where did you locate the lines and pump to?  The pump isn't as problematic as the lines because it can go about anywhere, but those lines concern me...

Misc Tech / 1985 T-Bird Exhaust
As it sits: dual factory cats side by side
after the cats it goes into a Y (tranny region), single exhaust on the driver side some next to drive shaft
fuel pump and lines run down the passenger side

My goal is to get true dual 2.5" to the back of the car.  I doubt side by side 2x 2.5's would work down by the drive shaft because they'd end up rubbing the shaft
I don't mind it exiting on the drivers side only, in fact Borla makes a nice side by side dual turbo
I'm wondering if I could have one pipe ride on top of the other through the drive shaft corridor

Or, has someone come up with better solutions?
