anyone ever seen or tried to put a bird on switches? i was thinking of putting an air bag system on an 86 bird want some opinions on how it will look and if anyone has ever tried it or has any pics
on my 86 bird (308 cfi with a 3speed and column shifter) the PRND were it shows what gear your on is off when i have it on drive it shows reverse has this ever happened to any1 b4? anyone know how to correct it?
not sure if this is the proper place to post this in but how do i convert my manual crank windows and door locks to power windows and locks? having all manual on a daily driver is a pain in the a$$ anyone know how to convert them? or what i need to buy
i was wondering if there is any truth to this and if it would work on my 86 3.8 would be really cool if this was true could give the little guy a bit of spooge
ok so ive posted here a few times before looking to try to beef up my 3.8 cfi. after all the help every1 has given me i think ima tear the little guy out isnt really worth it. so now im looking to go with a nice 5.0 but carb since i was told it would match up to my 3 speed auto tranny. now im not guna do the swap for maybe a year but i wana start looking for a block and start piecing it together. now my question is what would be the best car to pull the motor out of that will hook up to my car with minimal mods
my bumper and header panel on my bird is trash all busted u but have been having trouble finding birds being parted out or in the jy's the last time i went i only found 1 tbird but the bumper was beat up too but i saw a few clean cougars and was wondering if i can throw 1 of those on my bird or do they bolt on diffidently?
OK so i have a 3.8 and is backfiring when every i rev it at first i thought it was my ler because it was all banged up but after i replaced that it still backfires. took it to a mechanic n said all my wires and timing is in order and said it could be my carb or whatever i have under the hood not sure what it actually is because i have a cfi motor anyone can help much appreciated
i have a 86 tbird 3.8, the ac works but is running low doesn't get real cold just kinda blows semi fresh air i need to refill the coolant but i think its a R12 coolant, can i find this still or can i put R134a? thanks Brian
so i have a 1986 3.8L CFI V6 Thunderbird. now i know alot of people think its a stinky turd and not work squat but i like the little motor good on gas and hasn't let me down yet. so what i wanted to know is what can i do to her to get a few more horses like headers or something idk. i believe sarjxxx had a thread a few months ago about headers off a 94-95 v6 pony would fit but he has a newer motor so im not sure if it will work with mine
what i was thinking is doing a 5 lug swap off a 95 pony and swaping out the entire rear end with better gears then getting maybe some headers and a dual exhaust what else can i do? thanks :)
found some guy on craigslist with a 95 mustang 5.0 complete just has front end damage so he's selling for cheap. i wanted to do a 5 lug swap so i can pull all the parts off this but i was wondering if i can swap that motor into my 86 tbird or is it a different beast?
ok so first off hi my names Brian i'm new to this site and have a 86 Thunderbird with a 3.8 v6. what i would like to do is swap from 4 lug to 5 lug and was wondering what i'd need to do and whats the least expensive or best way to go, i say least expensive because i am a collage student and don't have lots of funds laying around haha so i wouldn't mind going to the junk and piecing it together or saving up for maybe a kit any info would help me out thanks :D
