I've been searching, hoping that someone may have posted trunk measurements already, but no luck so far. Anyways, I have no speakers in the rear deck and do plan on losing the trunk spring bars. I have two 15s and will likely have to angle the speakers at a 45 degree upwards angle. I don't mind measuring myself, but if someone would care to share theirs, it would save me a bit of trouble and whomever plans this in the future.
So, I've been looking through here, but I don't see much info on Lincoln Mark VII parts as to whether they can be successfully swapped to a Bird or Cat. I'm curious about the rear springs and the front and rear sway bars mostly, and how they compare to the Fox-body Mustang and Turbocoupe/XR7 options.
I have 17" Rims, 3.55 gears, and a 22 tooth speedily gear. Anyone know the equation to get the speedo as close to accurate as possible using tire sizes? Wanna get it close enough so the cruise control will work properly.

It's an '87 Cougar with the 3.8. The hood is bent, but other than that, no obvious damage. Interior's dark blue and the paint looks like primer. I inquired about it and was told about 500 with title. so... i have a nice, long drive from austin, tx to panama city, fl in the morning. new sound system's tuned up, oil's fresh, and tires are aired up. :burnout: i love/hate this drive. it's fun to just cruise in the coug, but road trips are even better. how many northwest floridians/alabamians/georgians do we have here? we need to plan a small "catjam" of our own sometime for us rednecks...:D

so, when i built my HO last year, i unknowingly used a bad oil pump. it took until now to start knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door. long story short, i found a 5.0 HO with e7te's and a separate typhoon intake and computer and the guy selling it was willing to help me with the swap (because firestone is half-assed and won't let me do it there) and is even letting me make payments... 950 total! i'd have to say i got a great deal. i threw on the bbk's and we cranked her up... fired right up on the first try. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
If someone has one and doesn't want too much for it, that'd be awesome. and if it were gray and silver 2-tone, that'd kick sooo much ass. my car got busted into at the HEB here in Austin, so that's why.
