looks great!  My only creative thought would be to build the gauges out like on a 70 Cyclone Spoiler...

The exhaust is 1 3/4 long tubes with 2.5" collectors, the Y-pipe is all 2.5" then it steps up to a Stinger Performance 3" stainless TC ler back. I went with the single to keep it simple and sleeper status. I also didnt want to get into moving the fuel pump, filter and fuel lines on the passenger side along with changing the routing of the rear brake hose since these 2.3t cars only had a single system running down the drivers side.

I got all the rear control arms rebuilt with Energy Suspension bushings and I cut some plates to box them. 8.8 got all cleaned and stripped today along with all new seals. The posi and 3.55s looked great still so they will remain untouched for now.

I had all the same issues and just wrapped the fuel lines in header tape. Exhaust cannot get hot enough to mess with the brake fluid. Ran true duals on my 83 for many a moon like this with no issues. Another thing that keeps duals stealth on these cars is to run the Mustang GT tail pipes as they tuck under the car like the old Trans Am and Firebird exhausts.

If I may ask where did you get the textured black plastic you are using for the dash?

I usually get mine on Amazon but the OP may have a better source. I can find it local as well but they are a little higher but they also have some really cool stuff. This would be at a couple of local retailers here that carry all kinds of plastic materials. We have a lot of air plane manufacturing and repair so that is the only reason I can see we have the availability.

I just buy it off ebay.

Got the 8.8 all done and installed yesterday. Pic before I installed rotors, pads and new KYB shocks. I flipped and raised the lower shock brackets on the housing.

Need to change the rear  on the driveshaft for one that will fit the 8.8 and start building the exhaust today. Getting closer!!

Had to replace the inlet fitting on my 255 Walbro and the fitting on the line since it was the most amazing hack job I have seen yet..New tank is in. New in tank pump was longer than the original so I had to cut up,shorten and reweld the hanger on the sending unit so the pump didnt bottom out in the tank. I bled the brakes and finished everything under rear of car. I made a little 3" dump for my tailpipe and just need to build the pipes between the collectors and the Y pipe.

Sooo, now its time to wire the gauges, fix my water pump leak, little more interior clean up, alignment and then off to paint!

Nice build! What's the reason for flipping the lower rear shock mounts?

Most likely to have the ability to use Mustang shocks in the rear, which are shorter than the TBird/Cougar ones.

Ok, gotha. Have to keep that in mind if I have to mix and match parts in the future. Are the fronts struts a differnet length too?
